SMA (Subhash Mittal & Associates), is a Chartered Accountants firm established in 1989. Almost since beginning, its major focus of activities has been on Social Development Sector, covering both voluntary organizations and several funding agencies.
SMA is providing audit assurances, taxation and legal compliance services to its clients for last more than 25 years. It has also undertaken a broad range of Financial Management associated services. It has undertaken several capacity building programmes in various parts of the country. It undertook a pioneering study in Corporate Social Responsibility in 2013, which has been recognized as a baseline study of CSR.
Its Legal Compliance Division is very active and has helped a large number of organizations resolve their FCRA related issues. These have varied from FCRA Prior Permission, FCRA Registration, support in having FCRA cancellation revoked, etc. It has also interacted with RBI for formation of Liaison Offices for several international organizations. It has worked with Registrar of Companies for formation of S.25 companies (S. 8 under the Companies Act 2013). It has got registrations done under Provident Fund, Service Tax, VAT, etc. Recently it was able to obtain custom duty exemption for an international organization, importing capital equipment for philanthropic purposes.
